The Seattle sun has finally made it’s presence known giving us an awesome Memorial Weekend. We celebrated with a backyard BBQ and cool Osso Good Bone Broth treats with some friends. Hope you all had a great weekend as well!
Kid’s cool treats
I try to get the best bone broth I know in to my son’s diet as much as possible, and what better than a popsicle on an 80 degree day. So for the kids I made Osso Good Bone Broth popsicles…
- For the mixture, all I did was purchase fresh fruit popsicles and thawed them. Then I mixed 2-3 oz. of slushy broth per popsicle in my Vitamix. Then I put them back in a freezer tray.
Dad’s cool treats
Of course for the adults I made Bone Broth cocktails…
- 2 oz. Mezcal or Tequila
- 1 oz. Osso Good Beef Bone Broth
- 1 oz. Mango Nectar
- 2 oz. Orange JuiceFirst, warm the bone broth to room temp. Second, pour all of the ingredients into a mixing tin over ice. Shake well for 20 – 30 seconds. Lastly, add some orange zest if you like. As a result, you don’t taste the bone broth at all, and it’s a tasty relaxing way to get a few ounces of bone broth in your diet for the day.
